HEPC professionals have experience in providing engineering consultancy services in water supply, particularly in preparation of identification and feasibility studies of water supply schemes and detailed engineering for development of source, intake works, treatment plants, service reservoirs, pumping stations, transmission, distribution, rehabilitation and extension of the system and other components of water supply systems.
HEPC also provides services in the following:
Water Treatment
HEPC professionals have kept pace with advancement in water treatment technology in the rapidly advancing water treatment sector.
Suitability of treatment process in local conditions and recommendation of best option is the heart of our system. Best technology without local suitability has little advantage and HEPC keeps this aspect in mind while recommending any treatment system. Selection of treatment processes, pilot studies, determining hydraulic flow, engineering of treatment units & waste water disposal systems, design of water quality monitoring systems, simple operation and emphasis on preventive maintenance all form a part of HEPC professionals.
In-plant systems are engineered and aesthetic landscaping is provided for plants. HEPC professionals have rehabilitated existing treatment plants. Deterministic tests to measure plant throughputs, check process and equipment performance, and structural condition of different units are carried out to identify the extent of rehabilitation required. Operation and maintenance procedures are objectively systematised and suitable staffing patterns are recommended. HEPC addresses key issues such as reliability, sustainability and maintenance, and emphasises the importance of maintaining safety standards for operations, handling of chemicals, etc. for projects.
Storage & Pumping
HEPC professionals have engineered over 20 large and small pumping stations and a large number of underground and surface reservoirs to date. The location, capacity and elevation of storages are finalised during transmission and distribution system studies. A basic study is carried out for each pumping plant. Such a basic study evaluates in detail various feasible alternatives and recommends an optimum solution. On finalisation of the basic study, detailed engineering of different units. Rehabilitation of pumping stations is also carried out, after determining its economics.
Transmission & Distribution
Over the years, HEPC professionals has planned and designed hundreds of kilometres of transmission and distribution pipelines of sizes upto 2000 mm, of different pipe materials, in water systems with intermittent and continuous supplies. Prior to analysing/designing water systems, a pipe material selection study is carried out, which identifies economical pipe materials, suited to local conditions.
