Air environment Control

AIR POLLUTION CONTROL & MONITORING
HEPC professionals have worked on development of Air Pollution models for industries and urban area, design and installation of Air pollution control equipment. HEPC professionals have established power saving for operation of air pollution control equipment taking advantage of wind pattern, profile and other ambient air conditions.

Air Pollution around Sewage Treatment Plant
Air pollution emanating from STPs was considered to be a subject of least concern in Indian context. With increasing diseases related to air pollution, it is gaining more attention and has become topic of social concern. Complaints filed by alert citizens and writ petitions filed in various courts have compelled authorities to address the issue of odour nuisance and air pollution around STPs. HEPC have successfully reduced air pollution emanating from STPs at Ahmedabad. This is perhaps first time in India to take up such challenging assignment and successfully overcoming the problem within 4 weeks.

Identification of air pollution problem:
Air pollution is considered to be a grey area in Indian context. With increasing diseases related to air pollution, it is gaining more attention and has become topic of social concern. HEPC professionals have realised this problem right in the beginning, since we breath the air as it comes to us. Even if we know that the air is polluted, we can not stop breathing. Air pollution scenario is becoming worst with altered weather cycle. Keeping such problems in mind, HEPC professionals has developed their skills to understand the complex nature of air pollution and problems related to it. This has helped them to identify and find solution to the highly sensitive air pollution problems. Study of meteorology at micro, maso and macro level and dispersion of air pollutants, atmospheric reaction etc. is most essential part of any project related to air pollution.

Mathematical modelling to monitor and manage air pollution levels:
Mathematical models are considered to be most useful tool for planners and administrators to monitor air pollution levels in a town/city and manage the complex air pollution problems. HEPC professionals have got training to understand meteorology and air pollution dispersion/diffusion aspects to develop mathematical models and solve the problems using networking and simulation techniques. Selection of ideal site for measurement of air pollution levels and diversion of traffic will also be supported by HEPC professionals.
